Conlon Construction

Jubilee House, Lytham

Reimagining a landmark office building for the future

Client: Danbro Holdings Limited

Conlon Construction delivered the extensive refurbishment, extension and recladding of Jubilee House, transforming an ageing office building into a contemporary headquarters that supports growth, collaboration and modern ways of working.

Working on behalf of Danbro Holdings, the project created more than 6,000m² of high-quality office accommodation, combining striking architecture with enhanced functionality to deliver a workplace designed for the future.

The Challenge

The existing concrete-framed building required significant modernisation to meet the needs of a growing business. The challenge was to dramatically increase floor space, improve the building’s appearance and performance, and create a modern working environment while ensuring the development complemented the character of its surroundings in Lytham St Annes.

Our Solution

Conlon delivered a comprehensive programme of refurbishment, extension and remodelling works, including:

  • Installation of a completely new external building envelope
  • Rain screen cladding incorporating Trespa, terracotta and aluminium finishes
  • New curtain walling and Linit glazing systems
  • Construction of a new steel-framed fourth floor
  • Three new four-storey extensions
  • Creation of additional office accommodation and meeting spaces
  • New conference and collaboration facilities
  • Catering and staff welfare areas
  • Installation of two new passenger lifts
  • New access road infrastructure
  • Creation of a 176-space car park

The design carefully balanced contemporary architecture with materials and finishes inspired by Lytham’s traditional townscape, creating a building that feels both modern and locally distinctive.

The Outcome

The completed Jubilee House has been transformed into a flagship corporate headquarters, providing Danbro Holdings with a flexible, future-ready workplace that supports collaboration, productivity and business growth.

By significantly increasing capacity while enhancing the building’s visual presence and performance, the project has created a modern commercial asset that reflects the ambition of the business it serves.

The scheme demonstrates Conlon’s ability to unlock value through complex refurbishment and extension projects, delivering high-quality commercial environments that combine architectural impact with long-term functionality.
