We are a Lancashire-based, employee-owned main contractor delivering quality projects across education, industrial, healthcare, defence, commercial, leisure, heritage and public sectors nationwide.
Founded in 1961, we’ve built our reputation on operational excellence, long-term relationships and a “getting it right first time” approach.
Today, as an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT), we combine the strength and stability of an established contractor with a people-first culture where every employee has a meaningful stake in long-term success.

Built on more than 65 years of family values, Conlon Construction was founded by the five Conlon brothers to deliver major infrastructure schemes, including the Preston Bypass – later known as the M6.
More than six decades later, that same commitment to hard work, quality and long-term relationships continues to define the business, with projects delivered nationwide through trusted frameworks, repeat partnerships and public and private sector procurement.
In 2024, we transitioned to an EOT, protecting the values, culture and legacy built over generations while creating a long-term future shaped by our people. Today, every employee has a meaningful stake in the success of the business – creating a collaborative, accountable and people-powered approach to delivery.
