Delivering specialist facilities that support independence and wellbeing

Client: Lancashire County Council

Conlon Construction delivered a new Adult Respite Centre for Lancashire County Council, replacing an outdated facility with a modern, purpose-built environment designed to provide high-quality respite care and support services. The development was constructed on the former Kingsbury School site and created a welcoming, accessible facility for service users and staff.

The Challenge

The project required the demolition of the existing facility and delivery of a modern replacement that would better meet the needs of adults accessing respite care services while creating attractive and accessible outdoor spaces.

Our Solution

Conlon delivered:

  • Demolition of the existing building
  • New single-storey respite centre
  • Accessible accommodation and support spaces
  • New boundary treatments and fencing
  • External lighting installations
  • Landscaped gardens and outdoor areas
  • Associated infrastructure and site works

The new facility was designed to provide a comfortable, safe and welcoming environment for service users while supporting the operational needs of care providers.

The Outcome

The completed centre provides modern respite care facilities that support independence, wellbeing and quality of life. Purpose-designed indoor and outdoor environments create a setting that is both practical and welcoming, ensuring the facility can continue serving the community for many years to come.

An excellent working relationship built on trust and integrity.  Attention to detail and high standards ensured a quality product.
