Building Information Modeling (BIM)

We recognise the major role that Building Information Modeling (BIM) has to play in the construction industry and we are embracing this technology together with our design partners in order to provide the benefits of BIM to our clients. We believe that BIM is the future of project delivery and we intend to progressively use BIM on our projects wherever appropriate to make the construction process as efficient as possible. To this end we welcome the opportunity to engage on any project through a considered BIM Execution Plan which we would aim to develop and agree collaboratively with our client and design team.

Some advantages of using BIM:

  • 3d design models enable greater efficiencies to be realised in the design process.
  • Less errors and re-work required by merging models from different disciplines for clash detection.
  • Using BIM for construction management, quantities / take off, cost estimation and scheduling leads to efficient production and improved predictability.
  • Providing environment and lifecycle assessments leading to greater sustainability.
  • Improved end user expectations and understanding through simulations and verification modeling.
  • Providing more efficient maintenance processes through FM delivery.
