Conlon Construction delivered a new purpose-built primary school for the Department for Education, transforming the Seven Stars Primary School campus in Leyland through the phased demolition of the existing buildings and construction of a modern, sustainable learning environment.
Designed around the needs of pupils, teachers and the wider school community, the development provides flexible teaching spaces, enhanced outdoor learning opportunities and industry-leading environmental performance.
The Challenge
The project required the replacement of an existing operational school while maintaining a safe and effective learning environment throughout construction. Careful planning and phased demolition were essential to minimise disruption and ensure continuity for pupils and staff.
At the same time, the new school needed to deliver high-quality teaching facilities alongside ambitious sustainability targets and enhanced outdoor learning provision.
