On 20th March 2013 County Councillor Susie Charles officially opened the new 1 form entry £3.8m Laneshaw Bridge Primary School near Colne for Lancashire County Council.
Guy Parker, Construction Division MD, said
It was a real pleasure working with the project and school team delivering such a sustainable building that fits perfectly within the local environment. We are also pleased that we had the opportunity to construct the new Jubilee Garden for the local community and put something back for the local residents.
We are delighted that the Laneshaw Bridge project won a National Silver Award at the recent Considerate Constructors Awards held in Manchester. The project has also been shortlisted for the ‘Integration and Collaborative Working Award’ as part of the Northwest Regional Construction Awards to be held in June at Manchester.
Eileen Bleasdale OBE, Head said
Conlon have gone the “extra mile” on a number of occasions. We would not have wished for a more accommodating contractor to build our new school.
