New Conference Hall for Capernwray

Work is now complete on the £1.9m Capernwray Conference Hall. Located on the Capernwray Hall residential site at Carnforth, the new hall will be used for Bible teaching, holidays and conferences.

The brand new 1,450 sqm Conference Hall is modern yet reminiscent of Capernwray Hall’s original architecture, and as well as a two-storey conference centre, we created fourteen en-suite bedrooms for the students of Capernwray Hall and conference attendees, following the demolition of the old conference hall.

Conlon Construction Director Michael Conlon said,

This new building ticks all the boxes, providing modern, spacious accommodation for overnight conference guests and students while still blending in with the existing traditional features of the hall. It will be of huge benefit to those attending programmes at Capernwray for many years to come.

Christopher Rushton of Lakes Architect Ltd said,

The project on site has been as I say a challenge, but with the help of both Paul and Phil the project has been very successful and very enjoyable. I hope that sometime in the future we shall be able to work together again.

Phil Burke Business Director of Capernwray said,

From the outset of discussions much was made of Conlon’s desire to partner with the client, and this has been demonstrated in the past year, particularly evidenced by the involvement and leadership on site.
