This year our chosen charity is Lancashire Mind, which supports mental health awareness. The charity is dedicated to making a difference to the mental health of people living and working in Lancashire.
Chairman, Michael Conlon said:
We would like to highlight mental health awareness within the Construction Industry, especially during these particularly challenging times. In recent years, 13% of suicides were construction wo04rkers, despite construction accounting for only 7% of the national workforce. The industry is still male dominated, although we are trying to change this, and we are improving communication through workplace wellbeing coaching, mental health first aiders and targeted mental health campaigns.
